A display case containing nine perspex models depicting various stages of cutting a brilliant diamond, and nine perspex display stands. he balck cloth-covered case lined with grey foam. Loaned to the production team for use in the 1971 UA/EON Bond film DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER by the Vendor's father. The Vendor's father worked in the diamond jewellery trade (and has a famous jewellery shop on Regent Street/London GB founded in 1898, now the son owns the shop) and met Harry Saltzman and Cubby Broccoli, while on holiday in the South of France in the 1960's. The vendors parents used to play cards with the Saltzman family!!! Their discussions apperently came around to the forthcoming Bond film, and the vendor's father subesquently submitted these model diamonds for use during the production. The set was featured in a scene set in the "Diamond House" in the opening sequence of the film. It was included in the sequence where M and Bond walk along the Diamond House Corridor, passing several cases of diamonds on their way. This item was also in the CHRITIES's Sale in February 2001. It was not sure if the case was really screen seen. We checked once more the DVD and IT WAS SCREEN SEEN! You have to look hard to see it in the film, but it is just visible! CHECK IT OUT! Comes also with a full documentation from the Vendor! Fantastic rare CONNERY BOND PROP with full history documentation! A must have for your collection!
