What a rare prop with fantastic history: This is a gun shell used in the well remembered Octopussy scene where Bond swerves onto the railway track from the road and then drives after the train along the tracks. This part of the film was shot on location at the "Nene Valley" preserved steam railway in Peterborough, UK. My supplier is a livetime member of the Nene Valley society and he spent a full six weeks on the Octopussy set helping where necessary with the railway part of the operation; driving shunting engines, signalling etc...He picked up a few of these shells by following the scene shortly before the collision of the car. Very very rare and would make a great display piece.
