A one-off chance! We could acquire Barrie Winships personal used Octopussy hero throwing knife, used by him in Octopussy. Barrie Winship was the real knife thrower in the James Bond film Octopussy film.The original intention was for him to teach the Meyer twins to knife throw but it soon became apparent that wasn't feasible so he was made up to look like them and did all the sequences. Barrie cam from a circus family which formerly had Winships Circus in the UK. He began his knife throwing act in 1966 and was approached to be the stunt co-oridnator in Octopus in 1982. This knife was one of the knives commissioned by him, from a place near Worthing especially for the film. The shank of the knife has been filed down, as all of the REAL THROWING knives were. So he could hold them all in one hand in the film. In the movie you can see that the Meyer twins wear a black glove on one hand. That was Barries request as it was to stop the filed down knife cutting into his hand. This knife was held by Barrie after the production of Octopus till today and we got it now directly from him. A personal letter of authenticity of Barrie is included with the knife. Also a photo signed by Barrie which shows him with the twins in the Octopus twins and also a second photograph of him sitting at his table with the knife and signing autographs for b'bc. A wonderful piece of Bond history with crystal clear fully confirmed history! A NEW WORLD EXCLUSIVE ONE! We did our first private official signing with BARRIE WINSHIP in NOVEMBER 2013. He was the knife thrower in the James Bond Octopussy film.The original intention was for him to teach the Meyer brother to knife throw but it soon became apparent that wasn't feasible so he was made up to look like them. b'bc has now an official agreement with Barrie Winship for signings and he signs exclusive for us. He never SIGNED ANY BOND PIECE BEFORE IN HIS ENTIRE LIFE! He did now a world exclusive official signing for b'bc. This awsome color shot is from his private property and is not to get anywhere else! It shows him with the Meyer twins and the Circus director in Octopussy in their outfits from the film, standing in Octopussy Circus tent. Wonderfully signed by him with his name and he added also :"Knife thrower Octopussy 007 1983" to his signature. We are the only place in the world who have his autograph officially for sale!
